Hurricane Ida
Hurricane Ida Makes Louisiana Landfall as Category 4 Hurricane battered the Louisiana Coast. Initially making landfall at Port Fourchon before striking a second time a couple of miles to the North at Galiano. Heavy rain, winds knocked out power for over 300,000 as the storm proceeds North towards New Orleans and beyond. Louisiana and Western Mississippi feeling most of the impact of Hurricane Ida. Estimates of up to 20 inches of rain being dropped as the storm moves northward.
