The EXPLORER 540 LTE Modem turns a BGAN EXPLORER 540 BGAN M2M into a dual mode terminal. Rugged and compactly specifically designed for the EXPLORER 540 BGAN M2M unit. It turns the EXPLORER 540 BGAN M2M into a dual mode M2M terminal. This is accomplished by simply connecting the LTE Modem on back of the the EXPLORER 540 BGAN M2M unit. The terminal is able to utilized an exsisting LTE Cellular Network as an addition/alternative to BGAN service. The unit provides automatic failover and failback between BGAN and LTE Cellular Networks.
The Modem is easily installed to the back of the BGAN unit. First the LTE cellular SIM card is inserted into the SIM Card holder and is slide and locked into place. Then both the LAN and DC cables are connected between the units and the cable gland is tightened. Next the Modem is secured with screws securing the LTE Modem to the back of the BGAN unit. Next utilizing the web interface the modem and BGAN unit are configured for use. Additional information regarding the installation and setup are contained in the modem installation guide that comes with the LTE Modem.
